PREZIOSA YOUNG EXHIBITION 2019, JUNE 27

The exhibition of the three artists selected for the international contest PREZIOSA YOUNG 2019, Yajie Hu, Koen Jacobs, Jong Seok Lim, was inaugurated on June 27 at 6 pm in the CARTAVETRA Gallery, in Florence.

It was a great public success, with visitors coming even from far away, and this made us very happy.
The works of the three artists had been presented in a minimalist way, within the reach of the visitors, as is the tradition of the installations curated by Giò Carbone for LAO.

Yajie Hu and Koen Jacobs were present at the opening and had the opportunity to talk with visitors and illustrate their work.

The exhibition remains open in Florence until 5 of July, and will then moves to Paris in La Joaillerie by Mazlo Gallery, from 11 to 31 July.
From October 5th to November 13th the exhibition will be hosted in the Oratorio di San Rocco, in Padua, to then go to Milan, in the Belfi gallery, from January 15th to 31st 2020.

“However diverse the paths of the three artists may seem, a common element emerges: reworking, indeed recreating, one or more technical materials, to make a wearable microcosm. Difference of form and effects brings to mind the three categories, Naturalia, Artficialia and Mirabilia, of the Wunderkammern, cabinets of curiosities of sixteenth century collectors, the idea from which modem museums would later develop”
(Maria Cristina Bergesio, from the text for the catalogue)
