OFFICES AND PREMISES

Staying and studying in Florence, the most important city of art in the world.

The school inherits the Renaissance spirit of the region, but that important lesson from the past has been re-launched. The teaching staff keep up to date with changing customs, with the changing historical and social conditions and the needs of their students who come from every corner of the world, and with the continual, constant evolution of the concept of jewellery.

Studying in Florence is a really special experience. The intrinsic beauty of the city, the number and quality of its museums, the craftsmanship and artistic traditions which make it special, take the mind, spirit and eyes to new levels daily.

The homeland of artists and craftspeople who have made it famous worldwide, the Tuscan region is still rich in artisan excellence, and preserves a human dimension which attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Since 1985 LAO has had its main premises in the heart of the historical centre of Florence, in the S. Spirito/San Frediano quarter, also known as “Oltrarno”, a short walk from the Chiesa del Carmine with its frescoes by Masaccio, from the silverwork museum, and from the Palatine Gallery of Palazzo Pitt and the famous Ponte Vecchio.
