As always since 1985, this year again students, teachers, staff and the management team prepared the end-of-year exhibition of the work produced by the students in the various classes.
Jewellery design, CAD, Jewellery making, stone setting, engraving, enamelling, wax modelling, lost wax casting… Each section was presented to the many visitors, who were full of compliments and appreciation.
It was the opportunity to present the work of Charlotte Vanhoubroeck, one of the artists selected for the international competition PREZIOSA YOUNG, and winner of the LAO SPECIAL PRIZE, who enjoyed a stay of over two months as an artist-in-residence, and who, in addition to her creations, also presented the work realised by the students who participated in her workshop.
The exhibition also hosted the photographic works realised thanks to a collaboration between LAO
students and students of the Fondazione Studio Marangoni.
Finally, some of the recycled aluminium objects made in the LAO workshops by the participants in the European project “Art@heart” Social Handcraft Experience, for the creation of SUSTAINABLE JEWELS, were also displayed.
