How can I enrol…?
In order to complete the enrollment, the student must send by fax OR by regular mail  to the school’s secretariat office the enrolment form completely filled put, together with a copy of the payment receipt of 1.200,00 Euro for semestral, annual, biennal, triennal and academic courses or 50% of the total amount for short course and seminars. . Upon receipt of the fax, the school secretariat will confirm the enrolment and send you an enromlent certificate. For semestral/triennal courses the remaining amount will be paid in different instalments, according to the terms set forth by the school’s secretariat office which will be forwarded to the student together with the “enrolment confirmation”. For short course the balance of the attendance fee must be paid during the first week of lessons, following the school's instructions.

Where will I stay? Is the school residential?

The school is not residential. All students are responsible for finding their own accommodation, although the school does offer assistance in this respect by providing addresses of private individuals who rent rooms, bedsits and apartments. After enrolment in their chosen course, the school gives out these names, addresses and telephone numbers for the students to contact directly. Ask for the list of accommodation at the school office.

I have already completed some studies in the field; which courses can I enrol in?

Those students who have already studied at other schools and want to enrol in the second year of our courses, or in the advanced courses, will be asked to produce a portfolio of their work and documentation relating to their previous studies, and should arrange an interview with the school tutor or director.

What are the arrangements for paying the fees?

In order to book their place on their chosen course, students should send the completed Enrolment form, together with a copy of a receipt of payment of the sum of Euro 1.200,00, the first instalment of the course fees. The outstanding amount is to be paid in several instalments (3 for the six-month courses, 4 for the one-year courses, 12 for the two-year courses and so on), according to the instructions which will be issued by the school office together with the “confirmation of enrolment”. There is a 5% discount for those who wish to pay the whole course fee at the same time.

If I have to withdraw from the course for personal reasons, will I be able to obtain a refund of the enrolment fee?
All cancellations that reach the school by registered mail not later than 30 days before  the beginning of the course, will be entitled to a 50%  refund of the dues paid, apart of the banking or postal fees. Beyond this deadline, no reimbursement is anticipated

What materials and equipment do students have to pay for?

Together with the confirmation of enrolment, the school office will send students a list of materials they have to purchase themselves. Students in the goldsmithery, stone-setting and engraving courses will only have to buy tools for their own personal use. Students enrolled in design courses will only have to buy the materials for their exercises (pencils, compasses, squares, colours etc.).

What does the cost of the course include?
The fees for the course include the teaching, consumables (silver and stones) for the goldsmithery and stone-setting courses, student services (help in finding accommodation, access to the school library, internet access)…

I can’t attend a regular course; can I have private lessons?
Private lessons can be given on condition that days and timetables are agreed with the teachers.

What is meant by “accredited training institution”?

In compliance with Ministerial Directives regarding Professional Training, all Italian regional authorities have published the provisions for accreditation of training institutions. Only these institutions are authorised to hold funded courses and courses leading to the award of recognised diplomas.

What Diplomas and/or certificates does the school issue upon completion of the courses?

For every course attended, the school issues a certificate of attendance and a school diploma; certification of the results achieved, with the marks awarded in each subject, is attached to the latter. The certificates are issued only if attendance is 90% or more of the overall course hours.
Since 1990, the school has been running courses (in goldsmithery, stone-setting, design and so on) leading to the award of Recognised European Diplomas issued by the Regional Professional Training Authorities. These European Diplomas, have legal standing in the whole of Europe and are considered valid all over the world. Only schools and training centres that are formally accredited can hold courses for the award of recognised diplomas. For the complete list of courses leading to Recognised Diplomas, see the page “Courses and lessons”.
