LAO staff and students are just back from Inhorgenta Munich 2017, one of the most famous jewelry fair trade in Europe and the world. For four days, Inhorgenta Munich 2017 has been the international meeting place of the jewelry and watch industry. About 27,500 trade visitors from over 70 countries were in Munich from February 18 to 21—these are five percent more than in 2016. As a highlight, the Inhorgenta Award celebrated its successful premiere. The international order and communication platform for the jewelry and watch industry is growing. This can be proven in two respects at once. With 987 exhibitors from 40 countries, about five percent more exhibitors have participated in the trade show this year. Likewise, the number of trade visitors has risen by five percent to 27,500.
The LAO boot was located in the Hall C2, the space dedicated to innovation, contemporary jewelry and experimentations with a “Preziosa Young 2017” preview and the exhibition of five selected students: Beatrice Valtolina, Giampaolo Callegari, Meret Pérez, Su Yu Ching and Zhang Tianyi. The students were pleased to explain their work and their projects creating a very young and amazing atmosphere and engaging other students and young people interested to the school.
The student works made a great impression not only among the visitors and other exhibitors, but also curators and gallerists who demonstrated a real interest and admiration for the high level of the objects exhibited.
LAO met others vocational training schools and some European universities in order to create collaborations and student exchanges, that have been impressed by our students work and the kind of courses we offer, making LAO a particular and very complete school of jewelry making. A strong know-how, history and tradition added to a continuous innovation make LAO ready for the globalization challenges.
See you the next year at Inhorgenta Munich!
